Purpose
Turas (‘me’ ‘I’, ‘us’, ‘we’, ‘our’) operates the Turas website (the ‘Site’) and provides consulting and coaching products and services (the ‘Product/Service’).
This page explains how and when the Site and Service collects personal information, what we do with it and your right to see or change it. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
We use your Personal Information for providing and improving the Site and the Service. By using the Site and Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Use, accessible at www.turas.co.nz.
This privacy statement applies to personal information collected through turas.co.nz and through consulting and coaching sessions conducted as part of the ‘Product/Service’.

While using our Site and Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information (‘Personal Information’) may include, but is not limited to:

Upon registering via a form on ‘the Site’ or via digital marketing, you may select the option to receive future emails. In doing so you will be added to our newsletter list and sent emails on related topics and resources. Your information will not be given to any other entity outside of Turas Consulting & Coaching Limited.
As part of coaching sessions, notes will be made. These are kept confidential and will not be shared with a third party except as authorised by you or required by law (for example if I believe a serious crime has been committed or harm is likely to be caused by any person.) These notes can be shared with you at your request.
How do you use my Personal Information?
We will only use personal information provided to us for the purpose of:
administering, evaluating and improving the ‘Site’
providing the ‘Product/Service’, improving the ‘Product/Service’ and introducing new ‘Product/Service’
responding to your feedback and information provided in forms and surveys
conducting user research if you registered to participate.
We may also use personal information provided to us through the ‘Site’ for other reasons permitted under the Privacy Act (eg, with your consent, for a directly related purpose, or where the law permits or requires it).
Information you submit is passed on to our Mailchimp account for client communications, subscriber management and future campaign send-outs.
Email addresses are not made available to the public. Unless required by law, we will not disclose the names or email addresses of individuals who provide feedback to us or who provide us with forms without their consent.
We will disclose your Personal Information where required to do so by law.
We will only retain personal information as long as it is required for the purposes for which the information may lawfully be used.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on the site (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
You have the right to:
• find out from us whether we hold personal information about you
• access that information; and, if applicable
• request corrections and deletion of that information.
This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

What statistical data do you collect?
We use Google Universal Analytics to collect statistical information about your visit to help us improve the site. This information is aggregated and does not identify you personally. It includes:

• the search terms you used
• the pages you visited on our site and the links you clicked on
• the date and time you visited the site
• the referring site (if any) from which you clicked through to this site
• your operating system, for example Windows, MacOS
• the type of web browser you use, such as Chrome, Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox
• other things like your screen resolution and the language setting of your browser.
• The statistical information referred to above can be viewed by site administrators.
What are Cookies?
Cookies are used to:
measure how you use the site so it can be updated and improved based on your needs
remember the notifications you’ve seen so that we don’t show them to you again
Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer’s hard drive.

Do you provide my Personal Information to Third Party Service Providers?
We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate the ‘Site’ and to provide the ‘Product/Service’ on our behalf, to perform ‘Product/Service’-related services or to assist us in analysing how our ‘Product/Service’ is used.
These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
How secure is my Personal Information?
The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Articles on this ‘Site’ or in our digital marketing may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
